ETSY EXPORT GUIDE · UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2026

How to export your Etsy listings as a CSV

Download the correct active-listings file, check it before conversion, and know what Etsy leaves out.

Quick answer: In Etsy, open Shop Manager → Settings → Options → Download Data, then choose Download CSV. Use the listing-data file—not a sold-orders or payment-history export.

Export your Etsy listing data

  1. Sign in to Etsy.com

Use the account that owns the shop whose products you want to move.

  2. Open Shop Manager

Select your account menu, then Shop Manager.

  3. Go to Settings → Options

Open the Download Data tab within Options.

  4. Select Download CSV

Save the active-listings CSV to your device. Leave the original file unchanged so you always have a clean source copy.

These steps and the included fields are documented in Etsy’s official listing-download guide.

What Etsy includes in the listing CSV

Etsy says its listing-data export covers your active listings and includes the following information:

TitleDescriptionPriceCurrency codeQuantityTagsMaterialsImage URLsSKUs, when added

CraftPorter maps those reliable fields to WooCommerce product columns. It also reads the image URL columns present in Etsy exports and creates one comma-separated WooCommerce Images field.

What the CSV cannot fully recreate

A product migration needs more than names and prices. The Etsy listing export does not provide a complete, dependable record for every WooCommerce setting.

Variation warning

The export does not reliably provide every variation combination’s option values, SKU, price, and inventory. CraftPorter does not invent that data. Listings that appear to use variations are flagged for manual setup in WooCommerce.

You should also expect to configure these separately in WooCommerce:

  • Shipping zones, rates, profiles, weights, and package dimensions
  • Tax settings and tax classes
  • WooCommerce categories and category hierarchy
  • Digital download files and download permissions
  • Personalization fields and production-partner information
  • Listing videos, reviews, favorites, order history, and marketplace ranking

How to confirm you downloaded the right CSV

Open the file in a spreadsheet app and look at the first row. A supported Etsy listing export normally contains recognizable headers such as TITLE, DESCRIPTION, PRICE, CURRENCY_CODE, and QUANTITY. Image columns commonly begin with IMAGE.

If the rows describe transactions, buyers, payment fees, or order dates, you probably downloaded an order or payment export. CraftPorter will reject unrelated CSVs instead of guessing.

Keep the file as CSV

You can inspect the export, but avoid resaving it before conversion. Spreadsheet software can alter encodings, long SKUs, quotes, and multiline descriptions.

Next: convert the export for WooCommerce

Once you have the active-listings file, CraftPorter converts it locally in your browser. You will see a preview and warnings before downloading anything. Products are emitted as WooCommerce drafts so you can review them before publishing.
